A Dangerous Bacteria in Your Shower Head

Norman R. Pace of the University of Colorado found that a bacterial organism, a relative of the bacteria that causes tuberculosis called Mycobacterium, may be ready to shower down on you every time you get under it. You may even become sick.

The University of Denver set out to examine the microbiology of the human environment in homes, public buildings and schools. They identified all of the organisms through DNA testing.

They previously studied other human environmental issues such as municipal water, swimming pools and shower curtains. What the study revealed might shock you, especially if you haven't changed your shower head in a few years.

This shocking study also said not to be alarmed to much if you don't have any major health problems right now. However, if you have health problems such as asthma or any other type of breathing disorder, immune deficiency disorder, or a recent organ transplant then you need to be concerned.
